U/11 and U/13 did not play due to Killy-Bass not having teams.

U/15

The Island girls had a strong start to the game and held their consistency through all four quarters taking home a convincing win. Great work girls!

U/17

Netball is a Winter sport! And with a cool breeze blowing Phillip Island took on local rivals Killy-Bass. Although Phillip Island is higher on the ladder Killy-Bass worked them hard for the first scoring half. Phillip Island made many changes using all girls for an even spread. Unfortunately Jules Redmond went down with a nasty knee injury having to be stretchered off court and into the waiting Ambo. Everyone at both clubs wish her all the best. Even in pain she was disappointed not to be playing footy on Sunday for Phillip Island. Now that's commitment! The heat went out of the game with all girls a bit upset by the incident with Island winning in a great game. Speedy recovery Jules!

The girls came out firing this week. They looked like they had all started their day with a shot of adrenaline. The too polite duo, Tori and Tahlia gave us all some humour. Carly showed everyone that she can multitask by shooting bombs and catching flies. Bec, the smiling assassin kept the defenders busy. Sarah and Hayley had reflexes as quick as Usain Bolt and the ying and yang pair in Jessi and Jess were consistent all day. Tall as timber Pippa rebounded every ball and worked hard all day. Outstanding game from a bunch of legends.

The Island girls started strongly with Emily Semple and Bree Rutherford leading the charge. Accurate goaling from Katelyn Jones and Mel Kalis saw the Island well in control by half time. The girls continued to drive the ball strongly down the court and came away with a convincing win.

The girls were fired up and pumped for a great match against Killy-Bass with the hopes to regroup after their loss last week and take out another great win. The girls came out firing and started the first quarter very strong with intercepts being picked off left, right and centre. Defenders Tessa and Lawri were floorless in the first quarter holding their shooters to only two goals. The mid court guns Kate, Jess, Diddy and Amber ran the court superbly; feeding the ball beautifully into shooters Kelly and Chloe. At half time the girls held a very comfortable lead but knew that Killy-Bass would come out strong in the second half; and that they did. Hats off to Killy-Bass who were a great competition, making the Island girls have to work hard for the win. Thank you to Chloe Kalis who stepped up from B grade and goaled beautifully. Well done girls on a fantastic win!
