2016 Round 15 Netball vs Fish Creek
It was a glorious morning which set the tone for the young U/11's. They started strong and defensive players Zoe and Tahlia turned the ball back time and time again. Lexi and Ash moved the ball well through the centre and Shanae and Ella dominated in goals. The team continued to play well together really bonding as a team and displaying their new skills. Thanks to super coach Vicki.

What a lovely sunny morning and a great start tot he day. The U/13's came out with so much enthusiasm and determination. It was goal for goal most of the game. Fish Creek got a few turnovers but Phillip Island kept up the determination throughout the game. Phillip Island under 13's never drop their heads which kept them in the game. Unfortunately they lost by three goals but they fought out hard until the end.

A perfect morning for netball. Sunny and light winds saw third place Phillip Island Bulldogs vs fourth place Fish Creek Kangaroos in a very close and entertaining game. A prelude to finals both teams played to their strengths, quick passing, strong defence and accurate shooting made for the best game of the season. Coaches had tough decisions to make by no position changes throughout the game in order to keep stability. It was great to see such great team spirit for the girls who didn't play. Well done on a great win girls.

Coming off a great win last game, the girls were keen to continue their form. Tori’s tan helped her to have a ripping game, whilst Bec showed everyone how tough she is by almost getting knocked out. Carly was too quick for her opponent and Pippa had another consistent game. Hayley, Tahlia and Sarah had ninja like reflexes and battled every ball in the defence end. Jessi showed her warrior skills and helped the team to win convincingly. These girls are playing their best netball at the moment and should aim to finish the season on a high. Welcome back to coach Cath from her European adventures.

After a week off the girls faced a physical game against Fish Creek. From the first whistle the team came out firing. Accurate passing and strong leads saw the Island girls dominate in all aspects of the game. Mel and Chloe were on fire in the goal circle and some tight one-on-one defence allowed Kylie, Naz and Emily to grab some vital intercepts. Steph, Maddy, Bree and Katie brought the ball effortlessly down the court creating space and dominating play. A very well played and strong game girls.

What a beautiful day it was with the sun shining down in what was perfect conditions for the A grade girls. The girls were fired up and wanted to show Fish Creek, their supporters and themselves why they are a top four team. They wanted to play and prepare for finals and that they did. Knowing that they have a tough run home for the season the girls came out strong and played one of the best games as a team they have all season. Shooters Taylah and Kelly were absolutely on fire, their accuracy was amazing; bombing them in from all over the ring. Our fearless leader Kate, played her best game of the season showing all players on the court how tough she is and what great skills she has. She was ably supported by the two young Jess's and Diddy who were all passing into the shooters with pristine accuracy. Unfortunately we lost Jess Gysberts to a nasty finger injury, we wish her a very speedy recovery as we would love her back for finals! Amber was superb in providing pressure the entire way down the court and supporting defenders Lawri and Tessa who showed once again why they are a dynamic duo down the defensive end. Although the girls face three very tough games in the lead up to finals, they are playing their best netball as a team and they have the positive attitude and drive to succeed.
