2016 Round 16 Seniors vs IK

Phillip Island went down to top of the ladder Inverloch Kongwak at Inverloch by 69 points

Very windy and wet conditions met the 2 side on Saturday in a game that could only effect the Inverloch teams ladder position. The Island had the breeze in the first quarter but couldn’t take full advantage of the conditions only managing 2 goals for the quarter, IK matched the Island into the strong breeze and went into the first break up by 1 point

IK took control of proceedings adding 6 unanswered goals for the quarter and the Island struggled to score into the wind. IK stretched their lead to 39 points at the half time break

The Island now had the wind but again couldn’t take full advantage, they score just the single goal but the best thing for the Island is that they kept IK goalless for the quarter and reduced the margin to 31 points

Q3 Phillip Island 3.5.23 to IK 8.6.54

IK replicated their second quarter in the last by kicking 6 goals to nil to run away 69 point victors
