2016 Round 4 Netball vs Korumburra Bena

The girls started well with a great goal each to Ella and Zoe. The second quarter was very low scoring and an even game all over the court. The ball moved well up and down the court by all team members but no goals were scored. Ahlee defended brilliantly, Lexi was great in the middle of the court for the entire game and it was great goals by shooters Amelia and Tahlia. Overall a great team effort and the girls are learning to play well as a team which is great to see.

Best: Lexi Walton, Tahlia and Amelia Crooks.

The game started off goal for goal and all the Island girls put in 100%. Kor-Bena eventually took the lead and were up by 6 in the second quarter. With a change of positions the Island girls found it hard to keep up with Kor- Bena. All the girls played well in the tough conditions against a strong team.

C grade

A much better game by all this week against the Burra. A fast moving game from both sides. Pippa did well in goals with strong support from a well jelled mid court in  Bec, Carly and Jessi. Defenders Sarah and Hayley worked tirelessly all game but the Burra goalers were too strong. Well played girls, we look forward to next week!

Best: Pippa Treppo, Hayley Moxey and Auction award- Carly Formosa

B grade

This game was always going to be tough assignment with four regular B graders out. Hayley Morris and Nell Chaston came up from u/17 and played extremely well. Narelle and Hayley worked tirelessly in defence causing many turnovers but Korumburra proved too strong through the mid court. Goose award to Maddy Taylor who did a runner!!

Final score: PI 24 def by Kor-Bena 67

Best: Narelle Lindner and Auction award- Hayley Morris

A grade

On a windy cold day in Korumburra the Phillip Island A grade girls came to play. Coming off three straight wins but playing  the reining premiers the girls got off to a shaky start. It took them half of the first quarter to settle and by then Burra had a stronghold on the game. There were still great passages of play during the game and some awesome goaling and strong defence. Welcome back to the coach Kate and well done on a great game back. Time to regroup and focus on next weeks challenge!

Final score: PI 26 def by Kor-Bena 61

Best: Tessa Johnston, Amber Formosa and Auction award- Lawri Piera
