Phillip Island went down to an undermanned Dalyston by 31 points in Windy conditions at Dalyston on Saturday
The Island jumped away to a good start and used the strong breeze to their advantage. Beaumont Runnalls and Matthew Jones both scored for the Island to see them infront at the first break by 13 points

A splendid second quarter saw the chaps from Dalyston turn the game on its head. They added 6 unanswered goals for the quarter as the Island went scoreless. Dalyston now had a 27 point lead going into the long break

The third quarter saw the Island now have the advantage of the wind but they didn’t take full advantage. They outscored Dalyston for the quarter but they should have scored more than just their 2 goals through James Taylor and Hayden Moore. The Island reduced the margin to 20 points and had a lot of work to do in the final term if they were going to be a chance of victory

The Island played their best quarter for the match in the final term but now kicking into the wind they found it hard to score, they only managed the single goal to James Taylor but Dalyston kicked well adding 2 more goals to walk away 31 point victors
